Remote Leadership Skills

Click HERE to see the full case study.

Challenge: With the company adjusting to a new work environment, concerns were raised about employee engagement and productivity while working from home. The company saw a need for training as their managers adjusted to leading teams virtually.

Solution: This project provides several solutions for managers to learn about and acquire remote leadership skills, while also guiding them to reflect on their performance. The eLearning course was created in Rise in order to use its interactive tools such as scenarios and quizzes. The script and corresponding voice-over is a sample of a training video that will be developed as an additional resource.

Results: Many managers have already voiced positive feedback by specifying skills they could work on or strategies they've decided to implement. The results of these lessons will be formally conducted by comparing surveys given prior to and post-instruction. The managers will be given anonymous evaluations to reflect on their own performance. In addition, employees will also be given anonymous surveys to record their experiences after their leaders complete the course. This data will be used to improve the lessons and lead future instruction.

This detailed Storyboard created in PowerPoint was used to produce the corresponding Rise course.

This course developed in Articulate Rise is to instruct managers on how to improve their leadership skills in the remote workplace. It includes interactive activities, a quiz, and self-evaluation.

This animated explainer video created in Vyond focuses on the Communication lesson within the Remote Leadership Skills unit.

Driving Growth Through Outbound Calls

Challenge: A tech company seeks to drive buyer and revenue growth through quality customer contact; this company requires sales reps to make 20 outbound calls per day. One challenge is that the learners have a wide range of background experiences; a few are seasoned employees, but many have had minimal sales experience and have never worked in a call center. Another challenge is time management, especially since transitioning to a completely remote workplace. Many choose to focus on other responsibilities and put minimal effort into outbound calls.

Solution: This project provides several solutions for sales reps to understand the importance of outbound calls while increasing motivation to reach their call metric. This project also provides strategies to help reps organize their business and conduct quality calls, rather than just trying to hit a number. The eLearning course was created in Storyline in order to use its interactive tools such as sliders to explore data, animation to emphasize points, and quizzes to track results.

Results: My volunteer client has already voiced positive feedback on this course and the corresponding assets. The results of this lesson will be formally conducted by comparing the call data collected through their company. In addition, the sales reps will be given anonymous evaluations to reflect on their own performance. This data will be used to improve the lessons and lead future instruction.

This detailed Storyboard created in PowerPoint was used to produce the corresponding Storyline course.

This course developed in Articulate Storyline is to provide sales reps with motivation and strategies to reach their company's outbound call expectations. It includes interactive activities, animation and narration, and a graded quiz.

This video, developed in Biteable, is an additional resource that briefly reviews the topics covered in the course. It could serve as a quick refresher when needed to help learners retain the information.
